Extended Gameplay Demo of GHOSTWIRE TOKYO Shows Off Wicked Combat
Tango Gameworks showed off the first extended look at gameplay for its upcoming game Ghostwire Tokyo. The videos showed players a walkthrough of the upcoming title’s action and exploration as well as a developer interview detailing the design process of the game.
As Tokyo’s population disappears due to the arrival of Yokai (spirits), you will take the role of a lone survivor, Akito. You are possessed by a spirit named KK, who imbues Akito with elemental abilities. These abilities are Ethereal Weaving and will let you channel fire, wind, and water. This will strike some resemblance to fans of Avatar: The Last Airbender with the flashy hand gestures you will see in the video below and truthfully, I am more excited because of it!
You also watch Shinji Mikami and the Tango Gameworks team talk about Ghostwire’s creation and the meaning behind the Ghostwire name, influences, and whether the designers believe in ghosts in the developer interview below:
If you preorder Ghostwire: Tokyo you will get access to the game three days early on March 22nd, and you get the Streetwear Outfit pack, Shinobi outfit, and Kunai weapon.
Ghostwire: Tokyo launches March 25 for PlayStation 5 and PC. Check out the gameplay demo below:
