Disney Confirms Ahsoka Season 2 Is in the Works
Disney has officially confirmed that Ahsoka Season 2 is in the works, marking the first official announcement of another installment. The news was dropped in the announcement of Jon Favreau directing a brand-new Star Wars movie, The Mandalorian & Grogu, which will lead Lucasfilm‘s ongoing feature-development slate.
Speculation about a second season of Ahsoka has been circulating, especially following Dave Filoni‘s recent promotion within Lucasfilm. A recent Vanity Fair profile teased Filoni’s exploration of a second season, with star Rosario Dawson expressing that nothing had been “officially” confirmed by Disney.

Ahsoka originally debuted in The Mandalorian which showed off the impressive live-action adaptation of the beloved character from the animated series The Clone Wars. The spinoff series featuring Ahsoka followed Ahsoka Tano, the former Jedi apprentice of Anakin Skywalker during the Clone Wars, who seeks to prevent the return of Grand Admiral Thrawn following the fall of the Empire.
Upon its release, Ahsoka received acclaim from Star Wars fans, particularly praising the performances of Rosario Dawson, Ray Stevenson, and Hayden Christensen. Hayden Christensen’s return as Anakin Skywalker was particularly celebrated, marking a high point in the series as his character intersected with Ahsoka in The World Between Worlds.

Ahsoka Season 1 is available for streaming on Disney+, with no confirmed release date for Season 2.
