Techland‘s Dead Island 2 recently sent the gaming world into a frenzy with a deep dive into the gameplay that gave players a taste of the Zom-Pocalypse. The trailer revealed the blood-fueled world of Dead Island as a new group of characters who will jump into the zombie-slaying sequel. After previously being pushed out to an April 2023 release date, the developers have now given players some good news as the title has been moved up and will launch a week early.
That may not seem like a big jump but the fact that it has been moved up shows that they are on track to release and will likely not see any additional delays or hurdles stopping the game from releasing on time or now, sooner.
Dead Island 2 will feature six playable characters with the presentation at Gamescom 2022 revealing that the gameplay will feature “experimenting with your preferred zombie-slaying methods.”
They took to Twitter to make the announcement highlighting some of the comments they have faced regarding delays and eager fans hoping to play the game sooner. They followed that up with the following caption:
“You asked for it, you got it. Dead Island 2 went gold and it’s coming out a week early. See you in HELL-A on April 21, 2023.”
