Medusa Is Reimagined Into A Hero in Upcoming Dark Horse Graphic Novel

Dark Horse Books has announced an exciting new graphic novel, Medusa, set to arrive this October. This action-packed twist on the original Greek myth is brought to life by Eisner Award-nominated artist Tony Parker, known for his work on This Damned Band and God of War Volume 2: Fallen God, who will both write and illustrate the paperback graphic novel. Joining this stellar creative team is colorist Tamra Bonvillain and letters by Taylor Esposito.

Prepare to challenge everything you thought you knew about Medusa, the ageless yet very mortal hero doomed to be remembered as a monster. Throughout the ages, she has dedicated herself to protecting humanity from the terrors of legend.

However, in the misty hills of Scotland, a new and formidable adversary emerges – one that even the gods themselves fear. With steadfast determination, will the mighty Medusa succeed in her final mission to save mankind?

Medusa

Medusa will span 88 pages featuring one of the most iconic figures in Greek Mythology. A mortal and one of three Gorgons, Medusa’s death is an iconic tale in mythology as she falls at the hands of Perseus. Her iconic look features living snakes for hair and her ability to turn any man to stone by just looking at her.

As one of the most frequently seen characters in different mediums of entertainment that delve into the rich Greek Mythology, it will be interesting to see what Parker delivers in this new graphic novel adaptation.

Medusa will be available in bookstores on October 1, 2024, and your favorite local comic shops on October 2, 2024.
