Cocaine Bear Poster Gives Fans Look at Upcoming Film
Universal‘s upcoming thriller film Cocaine Bear just released a new poster giving fans their first look at the wild film coming our way. The poster shows off the bear as it shakes off cocaine from its hide with a tagline that reads “Get in line.” The film by actress and director Elizabeth Banks is renowned for her work in comedy and although we don’t know the exact tone the film will bring yet, the overall absurdity behind the true story is something that has many fans hoping to bear witness to film making it a highly-anticipated theatrical release for early 2023.
The true events that inspired the film take us back to 1985 as a plane crashes in the Georgia woods. The drug runner’s plane finds a large batch of cocaine missing and turns out to have been eaten by a black bear. The film follows a group of people converging on the location where all this takes place as the bear goes on its powder-fueled rampage.
The film stars Keri Russell, Margo Martindale, Ray Liotta, Alden Ehrenreich, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Kristofer Kivju, Kahyun Kim, Brooklynn Prince, Christian Convery, and Scott Seiss. Banks, Max Handelman, Aditya Sood, and Brian Duffield produced the film with Robin Fisichella executive producing.
Cocaine Bear will release in theaters on February 24, 2023.
