Cartoonist Nathan Olsen Launches Kickstarter for Tiny Dracula #1: A Delightfully Macabre Twist on the Vampire Legend

Cartoonist Nathan Olsen is set to bring his playful reimagining of Bram Stoker’s classic tale to life with the launch of the Kickstarter campaign for Tiny Dracula #1, his debut comic book series. The campaign kicks off on January 27, 2025, and runs until February 26, 2025, offering early backers a 48-hour window to snag exclusive discounts.

Tiny Dracula #1 puts a whimsical spin on the gothic horror genre by envisioning Dracula as permanently bat-sized, even in human form. This unique premise serves as the foundation for a gothic melodrama infused with humor, romance, and a dash of late-Victorian societal defiance.

Set in 1893 in Whitby, England, the story follows the determined Lucy Westenra, a 19-year-old aspiring to become a doctor in a time when women’s roles were largely confined to home and family. Her bold dreams clash with societal expectations and her mother’s relentless matchmaking. Everything changes, however, when Lucy encounters the enigmatic and diminutive Count Dracula, leading to an unlikely romance and a whirlwind of drama, humor, and cliffhangers.

Though Tiny Dracula #1 marks Olsen’s first venture into print publishing, he’s no stranger to the world of comics. Known for his long-running web series, Sundae Comics (https://sundaecomics.com), Olsen has spent over 15 years crafting comics that blend humor and heart. Tiny Dracula is a passion project rooted in his love for classic horror. To ensure his flawless debut in print, Olsen completed work on Tiny Dracula #1 months before the campaign launch.
