Black Panther: Wakanda Forever New Trailer Gives Fans a Look at Namor and Ironheart
Marvel Studios has released a brand-new trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The highly-anticipated film has had question marks surrounding it since the tragic loss of Chadwick Boseman who portrayed Black Panther in the MCU.
During San Diego Comic-Con, fans were treated to a trailer that began to pull the veil back on the aftermath of Boseman’s passing and honored him with a touching tribute trailer. The new trailer now looks to set the stage for the next chapter in Black Panther with a closer look at Namor and Ironheart.
The film’s official synopsis reads:
“In the film, Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), Shuri (Letitia Wright), M’Baku (Winston Duke), Okoye (Danai Gurira) and the Dora Milaje (including Florence Kasumba) fight to protect their nation from intervening world powers in the wake of King T’Challa’s death. As the Wakandans strive to embrace their next chapter, the heroes must band together with the help of War Dog Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) and Everett Ross (Martin Freeman) and forge a new path for the kingdom of Wakanda.”
The trailer features returning characters that include Lupita Nyong’o, Winston Duke, Angela Bassett, Danai Gurira, Letitia Wright, and Martin Freeman. Joining them will be Michaela Coel, Tenoch Huerta, and Dominique Thorne who will be introduced into the MCU as Riri Williams/Iron Heart before they headline their original Disney+ series.
We get a look at Ironheart taking flight in this trailer for a brief second along with our best look at Namor yet. The film will be helmed by Ryan Coogler from a script by Coogler and Joe Robert Cole.
Even with the additional footage, Marvel continues to keep us a bit in the dark as to the full scope of Wakanda Forever. One thing you can count on is the embellished and captivating culture and the world of Wakanda being a centerpiece of the upcoming film as we prepare for the return of Black Panther on the big screen.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will be released in theaters on November 11th, 2022.
