Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey Trailer Reveals the Film Will Slash Its Way To Fans This Year
Jagged Edge Productions has released the first official trailer for the upcoming horror film Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey. The film is a horror reimagining of the classic children’s story created by Alan Alexander Milne. Not much has been known of the film since it surfaced and became a popular topic on social media but we now get to experience a taste of what is coming when the film releases.
This version of the film will see a monstrous re-imagining of Pooh and Piglet who are abandoned by Christopher Robin which leads them on a murderous rampage.
The indie horror film is set to be the directorial debut of Rhys Frake-Waterfield who also penned the script. The film stars Craig David Dowsett, and Chris Cordell who will portray the villainous versions of Winnie the Pooh and Piglet with Amber Doig-Thorne, Maria Taylor, and Danielle Scott also starring.
Waterfield gave a brief synopsis of the film, read it below:
“Christopher Robin is pulled away from them, and he’s not [given] them food, it’s made Pooh and Piglet’s life quite difficult… Because they’ve had to fend for themselves so much, they’ve essentially become feral. So they’ve gone back to their animal roots. They’re no longer tame: they’re like a vicious bear and pig who want to go around and try and find prey.”
No official release date has been given for Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey but in a recent interview with Variety, Frake-Waterfield did express that the interest in the film has led them to attempt to get the film out faster, saying:
“Because of all the press and stuff, we’re just going to start expediting the edit and getting it through post-production as fast as we can. But also, making sure it’s still good. It’s gonna be a high priority.”
Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey is expected to release on VOD this year. Check out the official trailer below:
