The Lord of the Rings: Gollum Has Been Delayed
Daedalic Entertainment has revealed that the highly-anticipated RPG The Lord of the Rings: Gollum has been delayed. The upcoming title will let players take on the role of the famed J.R.R. Tolkien character who becomes consumed by the One throughout the Tolkien stories and film adaptations.
After the recent gameplay reveal, many took to social media to question the visual quality of the game. Whether this is directly linked to the announced delay, or the developers simply need additional time to polish up the game is unknown. The studio did not reveal a release date and instead said it will be a several-month delay with an exact release date to be announced in the future.
The Lord of the Rings: Gollum was announced in 2019 with an original release date of 2021. The game was delayed as have been many others and was pushed into this year. The delays seem to have been halted as the game now has an official release date in 2022.
