Thanksgiving Red Band Trailer Reveals More of Eli Roth’s Bloody Holiday Film

This holiday season, get ready for a bloody holiday treat! Eli Roth, the master of horror, is back with his latest creation, Thanksgiving. Inspired by a mock trailer he made for the 2007 film Grindhouse, Thanksgiving takes us on a terrifying journey with a deranged serial killer named John Carver.

Set in the aftermath of a Black Friday riot in Plymouth, Massachusetts, Carver dons a sinister pilgrim mask and embarks on a mission to mete out punishment to the town for their sins. The trailer promises a blood-soaked spectacle that is sure to keep audiences on the edge of their seats.

The cast is top-notch, with Patrick Dempsey leading the way as the local sheriff. Joining him are Addison Rae, Milo Manheim, Jalen Thomas Brooks, Nell Verlaque, Rick Hoffman, and Gina Gershon. Roth, who is no stranger to the horror genre, has co-written and directed this holiday-themed slasher film.

Holidays and horror are a classic mix. Although typically centered on Christmas time with films like Black Christman and Krampus, some focused on the spookiest holiday of the year, Halloween. Thanksgiving is not a holiday you see merged with the genre too often unless you are a fan of the B-horror classic Thankskilling. The film shows tons of promise and the red band trailer hints at plenty of bloody rampage at the hands of John Carver. This should make for a nice feast for horror fans come November!
