Summoners War: Awakening #5 First Look is Action-Packed

Skybound, in partnership with game publisher Com2uS, has unveiled a first look at Summoners War: Awakening #5. The limited series inspired by the highly-popular RPG mobile game will continue with its penultimate issue this August. The series comes to readers from the creative minds of writer Justin Jordan, artist Luca Claretti, and colorist Igor Monti.

In Summoners War: Awakening #5, we find our protagonist Rai caught in a perilous situation. Surrounded by Stiodani airships and relentlessly pursued by the bounty hunter Malakhan, Rai must call upon her summoning abilities to the fullest extent to rescue her friends.

This comic series is the latest addition to the expanding Summoners War IP, following the success of Skybound‘s previous comic series, Legacy, which is now available as a complete collection through your favorite local comic shop or anywhere books are sold. It’s exciting to see the universe of Summoners War continue to expand through different mediums.

The release of Summoners War: Awakening coincides with the launch of the highly anticipated mobile game, Summoners War: Chronicles, which released in November 2022. This multitude of expansions showcases the enduring success and influence of the franchise, solidifying it as a flagship franchise within Com2uS‘ gaming portfolio.

The partnership between Com2uS and Skybound, which began in 2017, has led to the creation of Summoners War comics, as well as The Walking Dead mobile games which has seen the two brands expand their universes and embrace various entertainment genres.

Summoners War: Awakening #5 will arrive at their favorite local comic shops and digitally on August 23, 2023.
