We go inside The Snow Cabin with Travis Parker and Scratchboard Productions
Travis Parker is an accomplished indie filmmaker, writing and directing such films as The Snow Down: a movie about a girl who shovels snow to earn extra money to buy her friend a gift, The Candy Ban: a movie about a town where all sugar is outlawed and how some kids band together to fight the system, and The Snow Cabin and The Snow Cabin 2 with his production company, Scratchboard Productions!

I got the chance to sit down with Travis and some of the Scratchboard Productions actors Inara Parker, Amiah June Parker, Hartleigh Ward, and Treighton Ward, and talk a little bit about themselves, including stuff they like to do when they aren’t making movies, some of their special talents, hobbies, and awesome collections!

We also chat about what their favorite Halloween Candy is, what it was that inspired Travis to become a filmmaker, the stories behind incredible songs like “Hot Fresh French Bread” which is still stuck in my head, their experiences making movies, whether they prefer being behind or in front of the camera, and tons more!
We also chat about the importance of showcasing some of the amazing sights around Idaho Falls and the surrounding areas, the creative process and the importance of nurturing the creative community here locally, what we can see from them in the future if they will be taking a break before starting their next project, and any advice they may have for up-and-coming creatives!

The newest release from Scratchboard Productions is the sequel to The Snow Cabin, The Snow Cabin 2! The story that inspired these movies actually started with a haunted house that the Parkers used to host out of their garage! They thought it was such a cool idea, and had potential to make it even bigger, and that’s how these movies were born!
For those unfamiliar with the movies, the first movie sees two girls, Kylie and Inara, try to get more views for their web show by investigating a local urban legend of The Snow Cabin and the ghost that haunts it, Betty Joe. Things take a wrong turn, and Inara barely escapes. However, her friend Kylie wasn’t as lucky.
Now, in The Snow Cabin 2, Inara, a year after escaping the cabin, is still upset that her friend is trapped in The Snow Cabin with Betty Joe, and finds out that there just might be a way to save her friend…

It will be showing at the Paramount Theater located in Idaho Falls, ID on October 19th, 20th, 21st, and 23rd! Make sure you check out their website and get your tickets soon because they are selling out fast!!!
