Outlast Trials Gameplay Trailer Reveals Closed Beta and Horrifying Experiments
Red Barrels returned to Gamescom 2022 to bring fans some more news on the highly-anticipated horror game The Outlast Trials. The game that promises to bring ‘mind-numbing terror,” released a new gameplay trailer that delivers on that promise as the trailer shows footage of what is to become of players as they are the victims of gory and horrifying experiments as they are used as lab rats in Murkoff Corporation‘s tests.
The Outlast Trials is set in the same universe as the previous games during the Cold War era. Players will take on the role of test subjects that were kidnapped by Murkoff Corporation and imprisoned in a secret facility. Players must overcome physical and mental obstacles to survive while trying to outlive some of the more iconic monsters in the franchise’s history.
The Outlast Trials will not have you endure these Saw-like torture environments alone as the game can be experienced in single-player or co-op so that you can be traumatized alongside a friend. Players will likely have to work together as the footage shows some of the benefits of the cooperative experience and what seems to be traps that will be used to fight back as you try to escape the hell you will be put in.
The Outlast Trials gameplay trailer ends with the announcement of a closed beta announcement that will take place from October 28th, 2022 to November 1st, 2022 but no official release date for the game has been announced.
