OTTTO Interview: The Thrash Metal Trio Talks About Inspiration & Their Presence in the Music Scene
OTTTO is a three-piece ensemble that brings together the fantastic talents of Bryan Noah Ferretti on lead vocals and guitar, Tye Trujillo on bass and backup vocals, and Patrick “Triko” Chavez on the drums. These down-to-earth individuals have an incredible stage presence that is truly captivating. Their performance is characterized by tight precision, synchronized movements, and exceptional lighting that accentuates the magic of their music.
They recently performed in Phoenix, Arizona at The Crescent Ballroom as one of the stops in the Bastardane and OTTTO Summer/Fall 2023 Tour.

One of the standout features of OTTTO’s set is the remarkable clarity of their sound. Each instrument, including the bass, guitar, and drums, harmonizes beautifully, without overpowering the vocals. This is a rare quality, particularly in intimate spaces such as Phoenix’s The Crescent Ballroom where sound balance can be challenging.
OTTTO’s music revolves around a blend of groove and thrash metal, resulting in an impressive and exhilarating performance. It’s worth mentioning that they even had a special guest appearance by the lead guitarist from Bastardine during their closing song, adding an extra level of excitement to the already dynamic set.

Patrick’s versatility as a vocalist shines through as he effortlessly hits high notes and delivers aggressive grunts, characteristic of thrash metal. Triko, the drummer, takes his role to the next level with his captivating stage presence. From tossing his drum sticks high in the air and catching them perfectly on beat to executing other awe-inspiring tricks, his energy is infectious.
Lastly, Tye rounds out the young trio with his boundless enthusiasm and energetic performance. Running across the stage, jumping around, and delivering an unforgettable bass performance, he brings a level of excitement reminiscent of Tom Cruise’s iconic scene in “Risky Business” lip-syncing to “Old Time Rock & Roll.” Ultimately, the trio all complement each other to deliver a seamless performance that gives fans a variety of memories to take away from the shows.
It’s important to note that while OTTTO draws inspiration from various influences, their music remains uniquely their own. Even at a young and early in their journey with OTTO, it’s impressive to see the amount of knowledge these artists have gained from being around the music scene growing up and they are truly ahead of their time.
Those of you not on board with OTTTO, should keep an eye out and check them out as the waves they are making in the music scene have the ability to turn into tsunamis.
Although the OTTTO tour did come to a conclusion on Labor Day. You can follow them on social media and their official website to see when they will be playing again near you. In the meantime, you can check out our interview with the talented trio below:
