Nintendo Switch Sports Gameplay Trailer Reveals New Modes, Customization, and More
Nintendo has released a gameplay trailer for their upcoming Wii Sports spiritual successor, Nintendo Switch Sports. The game was first announced last month and with the reveal, players learned that there will be six sports coming upon release including Soccer, Volleyball, Bowlin, Tennis, Badminton, and Chambara. The new trailer brought more reveals that includes a new ranked mode, Mii customization, and more.
The trailer touches on much of what was announced in February and gives us a deeper look at the multisport facility, Spocco Square where the game’s events will take place. Some of the sports available will allow you to use the intuitive motion controls that will let you play your own way. Soccer will allow players to use their Joy-con in a new way as you will be able to strap it to your leg to simulate kicks.
We already expected there to be local and online multiplayer but Nintendo has gone one step further and is implementing a ranked mode called Pro League. Each sport will have a Pro League that will have players starting at E-Rank and you will have to gain points to work your way up the leaderboards and earn the highest level of A-rank.
Nintendo Switch Sports will launch on April 29th with Golf joining the slate of sports in an update this fall. Check out the gameplay trailer below:
