Harry Potter has been at the front of many projects lately, with the new open world RPG video game announced and the HBO series that is reportedly in the works, a recent statement has fans thinking we might be getting even more content from the magical world of Harry Potter.
Reportedly WarnerMedia is plotting the future of the franchise and looking to continue to expand on the Harry Potter universe. During an appearance at an investors conference, WarnerMedia CEO Jason Kilar teased:
“There’s this little thing called Harry Potter, which is one of the most beloved franchises. And we’re incredibly thankful to be able to partner with J.K. Rowling and so I would argue there’s a lot of fun and potential there as well.”
Kilar didn’t elaborate on what those future Harry Potter development plans might be, but it was previously reported that WB has been exploring ideas for a live-action Harry Potter series on HBO Max. This latest report also says that there’s also talk that the studio
“could be developing a new tentpole based on the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child stage play.”
