Monsters Lurk in James Tynion IV’s New Horror Series The Closet

Image Comics has announced a new horror series that has monsters lurking in the dark titled The Closet. The series comes from best-selling writer of Something is Killing the Children and Department of Truth James Tynion IV and artist Gavin Fullerton. The series was originally published on Tynion IV’s “The Empire of the Tiny Onion” newsletter and invited readers into what is described in the press release as “existential familial horror.” The three-issue miniseries will be available for the first time in print format this June.

The Closet‘s official description reads:

“In The Closet, Thom is moving cross-country with his family and dragging the past along with them. His son, Jamie, is seeing monsters in the bedroom closet and will not let them go.”

Tynion IV and Fullerton both bring immense talent and love for horror that compliments one another and this is sure to be a great series to add to any reader’s collection. Image Comics seems to be pretty open to helping creators bring their digital-only series to print as they also recently announced that Chip Zdarsky‘s Public Domain would also be getting a print release.

The Closet #1 will be available at your favorite local comic shop and digitally on June 1st, 2022 with a main cover by Fullerton and incentive covers by Michael Avon Oeming and Declan Shalvey. Check out the preview below:
