New Elvis Trailer Reveals More of Austin Butler as the King of Rock & Roll

Warner Bros. has released a new trailer for the upcoming biopic film Elvis. The trailer gives us an even better look at Austin Butler in his portrayal of the king of rock & roll. It’s been a few months since we last saw a trailer for the film but the release date is nearing for Baz Luhrmann‘s biopic that will span 20 years across the life and career of the iconic Elvis Presley.

The film explores the life and music of Elvis Presley (Butler), seen through the prism of his complicated relationship with his enigmatic manager, Colonel Tom Parker (Hanks). The story delves into the complex dynamic between Presley and Parker spanning over 20 years, from Presley’s rise to fame to his unprecedented stardom, against the backdrop of the evolving cultural landscape and loss of innocence in America. Central to that journey is one of the most significant and influential people in Elvis’s life, Priscilla Presley (Olivia DeJonge).

The film was co-written by Luhrmann alongside Sam Bromell, Craig Pearce, and Jeremy Doner and is set to also star Tom Hanks, Helen Thomson, Richard Roxburgh, Olivia DeJonge, Luke Bracey, Natasha Bassett, David Wenham, Kelvin Harrison Jr. Xavier Samuel Yola, Alton Mason, Gary Clark Jr., Shonka Dukureh, and Kodi Smit-McPhee.
