BOOM! Studios and Hasbro have revealed the first look at Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Return #1. This thrilling comic series is co-written by the original Pink Ranger herself, Amy Jo Johnson, alongside Matt Hotson, with artwork by Nico Leon, known for his work on Ms. Marvel.

Set in an alternate universe, the story picks up after the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers have successfully defeated the notorious villains Rita Repulsa and Lord Zedd. However, victory came at a great cost, forcing the team to disband and go their separate ways.

Fast forward twenty-two years later, the former Rangers reunite to commemorate the loss of their dear friends. But Zack and Billy have startling news to share: Jason, the Red Ranger, who has been operating as a solitary vigilante, has mysteriously vanished.

Now, the remaining Rangers must team up and embark on a mission to locate him, all while evading a mysterious pursuer who is determined to stop them.

Amy Jo Johnson, acclaimed actress, screenwriter, and director, who portrayed the original Pink Ranger, returns to the Power Rangers franchise on its 30th anniversary to make her comic book writing debut. In Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Return, Johnson, alongside co-writer Matt Hotson and artist Nico Leon, delivers a heartfelt tribute to the beloved series by envisioning an alternate future for the iconic original cast.
