Micah Abbey Talks Bringing Donatello to Life in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem
Yesterday, the highly anticipated film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem was released in theaters nationwide. What sets this film apart from the predecessors of the Ninja Turtles is the fact that they are voiced by actual teenagers. Micah Abbey, alongside his co-stars Nicolas Cantu, Shamon Brown Jr., and Brady Noon, got the unique opportunity to bring the beloved characters to life in the film that has been already praised by critics and fans alike.
In the coming-of-age animated film, the young turtles are eager to venture out into the world beyond the sewers they call home. However, their master, Splinter (voiced by Jackie Chan) is cautious and limits their excursions to running errands above ground. During one of these trips, they unexpectedly encounter Ayo Edebiri‘s April O’Neil and quickly bond as they share a dream of being accepted and liked.
We had the privilege of speaking with Micah Abbey about his work on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem. We also had some lighthearted discussions that led to the intriguing topic of Teenage Mutant Ninja Dolphins!
