Kevin Eastman Interview – The Legacy of the TMNT

Kevin Eastman is one half of the team behind the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the popular karate fighting heroes in a half shell that have been a popular staple in the lives of several generations of kids and adults, and have been around in popular culture for almost 40 years!

I got the chance to sit down with Kevin and talk about how he felt writing The Last Ronin, a story idea he’s had on his head since the late 80s if he could choose different colors of the turtles’ masks, and if he and Peter ever thought their creation would still be around and still be as popular as ever after all these years.

Kevin’s newest book, which is a sequel series to the extremely popular series The Last Ronin titled Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Last Ronin II – Re-Evolution #1. If you’re not sure what this new series is about, here’s the premise:

The new series instead follows the four new Turtles – Yi, Uno, Odyn, and Moja – introduced on the final page of The Last Ronin #5. The next generation of Turtles has come of age, and with the help of their sensei, Casey Marie Jones, they’ll rise up from the sewers to defend their wartorn city.

You can grab your own copy of this book this holiday season, as it will be available in comic shops everywhere on December 13th, 2023, so make sure you reserve your copy today!
