Stranger Thing’s Joseph Quinn In Talks to Star in A Quiet Place: Day One Alongside Lupita Nyong’o
Stranger Things breakout star Joseph Quinn looks to capitalize on his arrival in the sci-fi horror genre as he is reportedly in talks to join the prequel film A Quiet Place: Day One. If cast, he will star alongside previously cast Lupita Nyong’o for Paramount‘s spinoff film of John Krasinski‘s A Quiet Place.
Not much has been released about the upcoming film other than it will be a prequel and likely take us to what started it all as we now know of the alien invasion that took place and left the entire planet in silence. We also know the film is based on an idea by Krasinski but will be helmed by director Michael Sarnoski who previously directed Pig. Krasinski starred in the first film in which we saw him and his family try to survive the dead silence of the invasion but ultimately sacrificed himself to save his family.
He made a short appearance in the sequel in which we get a glimpse of “Day One” through the eyes of Krasinski’s character and we can only assume that the film will build on that by either showing us a more in-depth look at the beginning days of the invasion. It’s not looking like we can expect to see Krasinski in ‘Day One’ but there is a threequel also currently in development with Krasinski at the helm once again for that film so it’s very possible we get another flashback with Krasinski returning in that form.
Quinn himself obliterated the internet with his portrayal of Eddie Munson in season 4 of Netflix‘s Stranger Things as he became everyone’s favorite guitar-wielding dungeon master and won over the entire fandom with his exceptional performance. It is no surprise to see doors opening for him as his talent is unequivocally worthy of leading any film or series and with the talented Nyong’o beside him, this film is gearing up to be one that is surely going to elevate the ‘A Quiet Place’ universe to new heights.
A Quiet Place: Day One is currently slated to release on March 8, 2024.
