In Hell We Fight: A Devilish Good Time Awaits in Layman’s New Series

Image Comics has announced a new series titled In Hell We Fight. The upcoming comic series stems from the previously released Image! anthology in which a preview was revealed to readers and will now see a full series premiere from writer John Layman and artist JOK. 

Image’s description of In Hell We Fight reads: 

“Life in Hell ain’t easy. Demons try to torture you for all eternity. Monsters want to eat you. There’s a stunning lack of reliable indoor plumbing. And it’s almost impossible to get ice cream. At least, until today, when three condemned teens and their annoying tagalong demon frenemy embark on a daring scheme to hijack a demon lord’s delivery truck. What happens next will take them on an epic journey across the underworld, an infernal excursion of non-stop excitement, danger, and adventure.”

Layman shared their excitement to be back at Image, saying: 

“I’m thrilled to be back at Image with a new book. In Hell We Fight is the most ambitious thing I’ve done in a while, and also the most fun. Nonstop action, adventure and general weirdness, with loads of heart, and I can say with confidence this will be the best time anyone will have reading about kids condemned to an eternity in hell. 

Luckily for me I’ve teamed up with a great artist—Jok—who’s probably the one person on Earth who can capture this unique balance of light and dark, horror and heart. I think this is the perfect vehicle to introduce him to a broader American comic book-reading audience.”

JOK added:

In Hell We Fight #1 will be available at your favorite local comic shops and digitally on June 7, 2023.
