Hunter Gorinson & Sierra Hahn: Oni Press-enting big news from NYCC
I was recently given the chance to sit down with the President and Publisher of Oni Press, Hunter Gorison, and Sierra Hahn, the editor-in-chief of Oni Press. The two of them have recently achieved very successful and busy first years with the company, with no signs of slowing down in 2024.

We talked about a number of topics, including which supernatural / cryptid we would be, what kinds of hobbies and interests fuel their weird, and what it was that got them into comics in the first place. We also spoke about what their favorite kinds of comics to read are, and if they have any favorite comic book characters.
We also discussed the upcoming 20th Anniversary re-release of Scott Pilgrim, coming this summer, featuring newly designed hardcover editions of all six books, with new art from Bryan Lee O’Malley, an exclusive compilation of “Making of Scott Pilgrim” comics and extras, and lots more!

Hunter and Sierra also talk about all the different genre books that make up the Oni Press library, and the process for deciding which comic books become Oni Press titles. They also talk about the big announcement from NYCC where they introduced a ton of new titles coming next year, and they have something for everyone, including Invasive, Jill and the Killers (which has an all-female production team), Cemetery Kids Don’t Die, Night People, Akogun, Brutalizer of Gods, The Man from Maybe, and tons more!

To keep up on all things coming from Oni Press, stay tuned to their website, and all their social media pages. But most importantly kids, remember to embrace the things that fuel you’re weird, and always Geek Responsibly!
