Dark Horse and Tapas Entertainment Team-Up to Publish Webcomics Line-Up

Dark Horse and Tapas Entertainment have teamed up to bring fan-favorite webcomics from the Tapas lineup to print. It all begins with four of their most popular series including Animalheads, Signals, The Flying Ship, and Tomahawk Angel. This new partnership not only further expands Dark Horse’s deep library of various titles but also gives fans of the webcomics the opportunity to experience their favorite stories in a brand new way as they come to physical form. 

Here’s some more info about the four series: 

Animalheads is written by Son M with art by Sam Curtis. 

“When four best friends enter adulthood in a flagging economy with no job prospects and the insatiable pressures of family hanging over them, they get creative—there’s money in the strangest of gigs. What starts off as a part-time venture scaring people quickly spirals into a life of crime when they get involved with a seedy organization. Now, their survival is on the line as they become the newest outfit in the criminal underworld. And they are not welcome…”

Signals is written and illustrated by Nika.

The Flying Ship is written and illustrated by Jem Milton.

Tomahawk Angel is written and illustrated by Odysseas Theodoratos, aka Mangaka Ody. 

“In the year 2050, an 18-year-old amnesiac woman wakes up to a desperate world overrun by monsters. Guided by an artificial superintelligence, a ruthless scientist unleashes hell on Earth to preserve only a fraction of humankind. Love and war await as the mysteries of this corrupt new world unfold!”

Alex R. Carr, Sr. Director of Publisher Development at Tapas Entertainment shared their excitement about the partnership, saying:

The first four series will be available starting in October. Animalheads will be available in bookstores on October 10, 2023, and at your favorite local comic shop on October 11, 2023. Signals Volume 1 will be available in bookstores on October 17, 2023, and at your favorite local comic shop on October 18, 2023. The Flying Ship Volume 1 will be available October 24, 2023, in bookstores and October 25 at your favorite local comic shop. Finally, Tomahawk Angel Volume 1 will be available on October 31, 2023, in bookstores and on November 1, 2023, at your favorite local comic shop.
