Creepshow #4: Skybound Reveals the Stories Lurking Within the Pages of the Upcoming Issue

Skybound Entertainment announced the superstar creative team that will be headlining the bone-chilling stories of Creepshow #4. Two teams of creators will provide stories for the upcoming issue of the anthology series based on the hit Shudder series of the same name. Kyle Starks and Fran Galán will jump into a story featuring a ragtag group of teens taking on bloodsucking vampires and Henry Barajas and Dani dive into a hellacious story of a luchador willing to do anything to reclaim former glory.

Starks speaks of the honor felt to work with the legendary Creepshow franchise, saying:

“It’s an honor and a privilege to get the opportunity to work with a franchise as legendary and iconic as Creepshow. I believe we’ve continued with our story its legacy of spooky greatness and timeless creeps.”

Galán added the love they had for Creepshow as a child and their references to the world of comics, saying:

“As a kid I watched both parts of the movie Creepshow countless times. I loved being scared with their stories, the animated scenes, the clear reference to the world of comics. Kyle’s story maintains the purest essence of those stories and drawing it in my mind has evoked that happy time. I hope you have as much fun with it as I did drawing it.” 

Barajas touches on their story by recounting the early childhood horror stories, saying:

“Growing up, my family told me horror stories like La Llorona and El Cucuy. Now I get to pass this tradition down and scare a new generation. It’s a dream come true to work on Creepshow with Dani. I just want to tell a story that would make the late, great Bernie Wrightson proud.” 

Dani talks about the influence Creepshow played on them in their early years, saying:

“Creepshow was one of the shows I would watch feverishly with my family growing up in Greece and only now do I realize how it has affected parts of my tastes and likes growing up. I’m wishing I could visit my younger self and let her know that she’ll be collaborating with Henry Barajas on a cool Creepshow story sometime in the future!” 

Creepshow #4 will be available at your favorite local comic shop and digitally on December 28th, 2022. Check out the covers below:
