Chainsaw Man Stage Play Trailer Shows Off Popular Anime’s Stage Adaptation
Chainsaw Man has been an absolute hit since it made its way to the manga scene and then to its anime adaptation that had fans flocking to our protagonist Denji. Now, the Chainsaw Man stage play trailer shows off a brand-new experience to the hyped fandom that should cure any withdrawals now that season one has concluded. While we await word on Season 2, you can experience the world of Chainsaw Man in an upcoming live-action stage play and we have our first look!
The team bringing this theatrical adaptation to life dropped a cast list for the adaptation and revved it up even further by dropping the first-look trailer as well as a poster ahead of the performance in Tokyo’s The Galaxy Theatre and Kyoto’s Kyoto Theater. Fumiya Matsuzaki wrote the script and will direct the stage adaptation with Shunsuke Wada taking charge of the play’s music and HIDALI in charge of choreography.

For those unfamiliar with Chainsaw Man, it follows a teenage boy named Denji who is down on his luck as he scrapes by paying off the debts of his late father. This all changes when he becomes one with a Chainsaw Devil named Pochita after a betrayal leads to his death leaving Denji no choice but to strike a deal with Pochita and is resurrected as Chainsaw Man.
Tatsuki Fujimoto debuted the manga on Shonen Jump in 2018 which just concluded its first arc in 2020. The second arc of the manga has picked up again as of last year and meanwhile, the anime adaptation has been atop Crunchyroll‘s streaming charts when it premiered late last year. There is also a live-action adaptation along with the stage play showcasing the devilish world of Chainsaw Man in all mediums of entertainment.
Chainsaw Man‘s stage play will run from September 16th – October 1st in Tokyo before moving on to Kyoto for shows running from October 6th – October 9th.
