Buckaroo Banzai Against the World Crime League Brings Back the Hong Kong Cavalier at Dark Horse
Dark Horse Comics has recently announced an exciting new adventure featuring Buckaroo Banzai. In this thrilling tale, titled Buckaroo Banzai Against the World Crime League Et Al: A Compendium of Evils, Buckaroo Banzai finds himself facing off against ancient “supernatural” evils that span across various planets and challenge the very fabric of reality.
Written by E.M. Rauch and narrated by the Reno Kid, who chronicles Buckaroo Banzai’s heroic escapades, the story takes us on a journey filled with intrigue and danger. This much-anticipated adventure follows Buckaroo as he grapples with the tragic losses of his beloved Penny Priddy and his mentor Professor Hikita.
Adding to Buckaroo’s troubles is the recurring threat posed by the immortal Hanoi Xan, the relentless leader of the notorious World Crime League. To complicate matters further, the formidable warrior queen from Planet 10, John Emdall, has unleashed her Lectroid legions upon Earth, presenting a dire ultimatum. It remains uncertain whether Buckaroo Banzai himself is the true target of her wrath.
As the world faces mounting apocalyptic threats, it is up to Buckaroo Banzai and his loyal group of Hong Kong Cavaliers to stand firm against the impending global destruction. With their unwavering resolve and unmatched skills, they become humanity’s last hope in a battle against unimaginable evils.
Originally released as a hardcover edition in 2021, Dark Horse Books is now bringing Buckaroo Banzai back to both current and new fans with a new cover by artist Julian Totino Tedesco.
