Brian Posehn Talks Scotch McTiernan’s Holiday Party & Becoming ‘Posehna Non Grata’ for His Upcoming Comedy Special

Brian Posehn looks to enter the new year with another entry in Scotch McTiernan‘s series at Image Comics. Alongside his fellow Deadpool creators that includes Gerry Duggan and Scott Koblish, Posehn will follow up on McTiernan’s previous adventures of The Secret History of the War on Weed and Scotch McTiernan‘s Halloween Party by bringing some holiday spirit to readers in the one-shot issue titled Scotch McTiernan’s Holiday Party.

Posehn joined us to talk about the upcoming one-shot and also teased a few projects that fans can expect in the future as he continues the creative monster that he awoke when jumping into the world of comics. As Posehn previously mentioned in the press release for Holiday Party, he loves working with his pals Duggan and Koblish and wrote about the humor they find in throwing their favorite tropes into the stories they collaborate on together.

Before fans are able to get their hands on Scotch McTiernan‘s next adventure at local comic shops, Posehn looks to bring humor to fans on stage by delivering his 4th one-hour special, Posehna Non Grata. Having made a name for himself behind the mic as much as he has as a writer, this will be a welcome addition to his previous one-hour specials, Comedy Central specials, and comedy albums.

This marks Posehn’s first special since Grandpa Metal which was released in 2020. With the upcoming slate of projects Posehn has in the works, his comedy podcast Nerd Poker, and even having had a cameo on Disney+‘s The Mandalorian, which essentially makes him one with the force, Posehn is a major comedian whose name you will see quite often in the foreseeable future.

Posehna Non Grata will be available via PPV on Moment and will premiere on December 8, 2022. Scotch McTiernan‘s Holiday Party will be available at your favorite local comic shop and digitally on January 4, 2023.
