Anytime I see a Kickstarter with Kenny Aitken‘s name attached, you can guarantee I’ll be there!  His Apex series is one of my absolute favorite indie comics because he has an incredible way of telling a very engaging story using his art to lead the narrative.  He’s a man of few words, but the words he does use are all the more meaningful and that shows to be true in Apex Cybernetic Samurai Owl: Lunar Eclipse #2.

Apex is a cybernetic owl who is created as a weapon, breaks free from his creators, learns the ways of the Samurai, and becomes a hero in the distant future of Japan. After the events of the first Arc, Apex finds himself facing off against new and old enemies alike and might make some new friends along the way!

There’s lots of action, intrigue, and large fantastical robotic creatures.  In this issue, we see the continuation from where the last left off, as Apex resolves one issue to find himself right smack dab in the next one!  #3 cannot come soon enough!

If you want to check it out for yourself and trust me you most certainly do, you can find Kenny on Instagram @kennyaitkenart!  Just shoot him a message and he will get you squared away!

A jack of many trades, but a master of none, Chris dabbles in many nerdy hobbies including toy collecting, reading comics, writing fiction, reading novels, and playing video games.  He’s also a huge wrestling fan, and knows more about it than most normal people should.

When he’s not writing or hosting podcasts for Geek Network, he can be found listening to podcasts and hanging out with his wife, his two daughters, and his little dog Gertie.
