A new Age of X approaches!
The legendary Gail Simone, alongside the X-tremely talented artist David Marquez, will begin their highly anticipated run on Uncanny X-Men on August 7. While we count down the days, we at Geek Network are thrilled to share an X-citing preview of what’s to come.
In the wake of Krakoa’s fall and Professor X’s imprisonment, Rogue steps up as the new leader, bringing the core team back together. This new era promises to be a ground-shattering, X-hilarating event and fans can get a taste of what’s to come with this action-packed trailer and some incredible preview pages released by Marvel.

The trailer displays a breathtaking opening battle against Sadurang in Mexico City, showcasing the team’s move to their new home in New Orleans. We also get a sneak peek at the Outliers, four mysterious young mutants who will inspire Rogue and the team to uphold Xavier’s dream.
Gail Simone shared her thoughts on taking the helm of such an iconic title: “The shadows of the giants who have worked on this book are all over the landscape, and it gets a little emotional to think about. Everyone has an X-Man they feel speaks to them directly. There’s no other franchise like it in comics. It’s an honor and a thrill and a panic, all at once. My first idea was, I want to lay out a welcome mat for all readers: new, returning, and lifelong. They deserve the best mutant stories I can give them. I want to focus on the humanity, no pun intended. Big action, big personalities.”
The new run will see Rogue, Wolverine, Gambit, Nightcrawler, and Jubilee forging a new home in New Orleans. When four young mutants arrive, this home becomes a haven where these iconic heroes protect those in need from a dangerous world and its fragile future. They are the Uncanny X-Men, and this premier isn’t one to be missed!
