Aaron Eckhart Is Ready For A Fight In the Rumble Through The Dark Trailer
Lionsgate has revealed the trailer for Rumble Through The Dark, a film adaptation of Michael Farris Smith‘s renowned novel, The Fighter. The movie is set to hit theaters this fall and features an impressive cast, including Bella Thorne as Annette, a tattooed carnival hustler who forms an alliance with Aaron Eckhart‘s Jack Boucher. Together, they embark on a journey to repay debts and reclaim a cherished family estate.

The story unfolds in the Mississippi Delta, where Jack Boucher finds himself fighting tooth and nail to protect the one thing he has left. The trailer takes viewers into Jack’s world and it becomes apparent that his primary debtor, mob boss Big Momma Sweet, holds him accountable for a debt. She presents Jack with an ultimatum, a brutal fight for his life. With no escape, Jack is left with no choice but to face the fight of his life head-on.
The official logline reads:
An aged bare-knuckle fighter seeks to repay his debts to the dangerous Big Momma Sweet in a final, desperate attempt to salvage the family home of his dying foster mother.

Michael Farris Smith, the author of the original novel, has also written the screenplay for Rumble Through The Dark. The film is directed by the Phillips brothers, Graham Phillips and Parker Phillips, known for their work on the acclaimed movie The Bygone.
Acknowledging Eckhart’s outstanding portrayal of Jack Boucher, the brothers stated:
“We knew we needed a performer brave enough to tackle the desperation, addiction, physical pain, and emotional rawness of the fighter, Jack Boucher; Aaron answered that call and then some.”

The film was produced by Cassian Elwes, Tate Taylor, and John Norris. Alongside Eckhart and Thorne, the cast also features Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Ritchie Coster, Amanda Saunders, Joe Hursley, Mike McColl, Derek Russo, and Christopher Winchester.
Rumble Through The Dark will be available in select theaters on November 3, 2023, followed by digital release on November 10, 2023. Check out the trailer below:
