Resident Alien: The Book of Love #4 – Resident Alien Continues to Charm in Preview of Upcoming Issue
Dark Horse Comics has a special preview for Resident Alien: The Book of Love #4. As the popular comic series continues with its new installment, and as the comic series that inspired the popular SyFy series starring Alan Tudyk continues to grow its library with new stories, tensions are high as Nurse Ellen puts her life on the line trying to expose corruption and Don can’t escape an old debt. The series is written by Peter Hogan with art by Steve Parkhouse.
Dark Horse‘s description of The Book of Love #4 reads:
“Nurse Ellen risks her life trying to expose the corrupt manager of the Sunset Retirement Home, and Don is tormented by an old debt he can’t repay. Sheriff Mike and Doc Harry try to keep them both safe, but time is running out and several players behind the scenes grow impatient!”
Resident Alien has seen its main series, TV series, and a few mini-series work their way out to fans. The universe has never been anything short of captivating and although I have not had an in-depth dive into the universe of Resident Alien, one thing that has always come as a pleasant surprise is how enjoyable the minis read even without an extensive knowledge of the lore.
This is something that should be praised as it keeps the door open for new fans to jump in at any point and become residents. The series continues to awe with the realist’s perspective of relationships and love which seems to touch on both the good and the bad and co-creator and series artist Parkhouse delivers an easy, flowing, and familiar environment that gives the reader a feel of wandering of a town we have spent much time in. This is a comforting feeling as odd as it sounds and adds to the charm of the experience.
Resident Alien: The Book of Love #4 will be available at your favorite local comic shop and digitally on February 15, 2023.
