David Pepose is an Ringo Award-winning writer of Savage Avengers, Punisher, Moon Knight: City of the Dead, Spencer & Locke, Scout’s Honor, and so much more, including the upcoming Space Ghost: The Ghost Rises from Dynamite Comics!

I got the chance to sit down with David and talk about which color of crayon he would eat if he had to pick just one. We also talked about the things that fuel his weird, then shifted into what it was that got him interested in becoming a writer in the first place.
We then spent some time talking about the differences between creator owned IPs, already established IPs, and his experiences working with both. I also asked him about some dream projects and characters he’s itching to write.
Of course, we spent some time talking about his new book, Space Ghost: The Ghost Rises. We talk about who Space Ghost is, what the book is about, how he and Jonathan Lau came together on this idea, the creation process, inspiration, and more. He couldn’t say much, but he briefly mentions future projects, and he even drops some helpful advice for budding creatives!
