Sayonara, Skeletor! The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Collide with the Masters of the Universe in a Wild Crossover: Turtles of Grayskull
In a groundbreaking collaboration, the beloved Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are set to collide with the Masters of the Universe in a new crossover series titled Masters of the Universe/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles of Grayskull. This highly anticipated series comes from the combined creative efforts of Mattel, Nickelodeon, IDW Publishing, and Dark Horse Comics.
The series, penned by Masters of the Universe veteran Tim Seeley, known for his work on Masters of the Universe: Forge of Destiny and Masters of the Universe: Masterverse, promises to deliver an unforgettable adventure. The dynamic artwork is brought to life by Freddie E. Williams II, famed for his illustrations in Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, where he brought our four favorite brothers to Gotham with outstanding results. Adding vibrant hues to the pages is colorist Andrew Dalhouse, whose past work includes Space Ghost, and the lettering is expertly handled by AndWorld Design, known for Masters of the Universe: Revolution and Canto: A Place Like Home.
Issue #1 is set to hit comic book stores on September 25, 2024, featuring a striking cover by Williams II and Dalhouse, along with two variant covers—one by Stan Sakai with Emi Fujii, and another by Alexis Ziritt.
The Storyline
The adventure begins when the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles stumble upon a nefarious deal between their old foes, Krang and Shredder, and an otherworldly demon-mage named Skeletor. This sinister alliance catapults the Turtles into the mystical world of Eternia. The fusion of Utrom mutagen with dark magic creates a perilous purple poison, thrusting Eternia into chaos. With He-Man mysteriously missing, it’s up to Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo to join forces with the Masters of the Universe and take down Skeletor.

Tim Seeley expressed his excitement, stating, “As inevitable as a meet-up between He-Man and the Turtles has felt, it took some time getting done!
