Dark Horse Comics Reveals Hardcover Editions for Canto Volumes 3 and 4

Dark Horse Comics recently shared some exciting news for fans of the beloved Canto series by David M. Booher and Drew Zucker. The publisher will be releasing new hardcover editions that collect all the previously released issues of the series and continue the fantasy saga. Back in October, Dark Horse revealed the cover art for Canto Volumes 1 and 2. Now, we have cover art and more information on what readers will experience in Canto Volumes 3 and 4.

The upcoming Canto Volume 3: Tales of the Unnamed World and Canto Volume 4: Lionhearted will mark the latest chapters in Canto‘s incredible journey. Joining writer David M. Booher and artist Drew Zucker is colorist Vittorio Astone, letters by Andworld Design, along with Sebastián Píriz, Liana Kangas, Jorge Corona, and Shawn Daley.

Canto Volume 3 bridges the storyline between “The Hollow Men” and “Lionhearted.” This volume includes Canto and the City of Giants, as well as both issues of Canto: Tales of the Unnamed World. In this installment, Canto, still recovering from his initial encounter with the Shrouded Man, embarks on a quest to find allies for the inevitable final battle.

His journey leads him to the Giants, and to earn their support, he must solve the mysterious Labyrinth and defeat the lurking monster within. Alongside his friends, Canto also faces the challenge of crossing a guarded bridge, where they must share a story never before heard in their world.

In Canto Volume 4: Lionhearted, Canto has made a great sacrifice and now wields a weapon capable of defeating the Shrouded Man and freeing the inhabitants of the Unnamed World. Racing against time, Canto seeks to locate the hidden settlement of his former slave masters in order to recruit them as allies for the imminent war. However, the relentless Shrouded Man is hot on their trail, adding urgency to their mission.

Fans can look forward to the release of Canto Volume 3: Tales of the Unnamed World on July 30th, 2024, in bookstores, and July 31, 2024, in comic shops. This hardcover edition will also feature extra sketches and in-process pieces.

Following shortly after, Canto Volume 4: Lionhearted will arrive on August 27th, 2024, in bookstores, and on August 28th, 2024, in comic shops. This edition will include a variety of behind-the-scenes extras for readers.
