Into the Unbeing: A New Eco-Horror Comic Adventure Infects Dark Horse
Dark Horse Comics has announced that critically acclaimed writer Zac Thompson (Cemetery Kids Don’t Die, Blow Away), visionary artist Hayden Sherman (Dark Spaces: Dungeon, Detective Comics), and letterer Jim Campbell (Monsters Are My Business, Midnite Show) are bringing you an exhilarating new eco-horror experience in the form of Into the Unbeing: Part One.

In this upcoming four-issue series, a group of intrepid scientists can’t resist the temptation to explore an enigmatic discovery in the heart of the Australian outback. Little do they know, their curiosity will lead them into the jaws of a colossal entity, leaving them with no choice but to delve deeper into its mysterious depths.
The main cover for issue #1, will have art by interior artist Hayden Sherman and will be accompanied by variant covers by Matt Lesniewski and Tyler Boss.
Into the Unbeing chronicles the journey of a team of climate scientists stationed in a remote base camp in the Australian outback, as they stumble upon a perplexing landform defying all conventions of nature. As they venture into this otherworldly terrain, they are confronted with an environment that challenges their very understanding of the world, in true cosmic horror fashion.

Zac Thompson shares:
“Hayden and I have been developing Into the Unbeing for years. It’s without a doubt the most ambitious comic I’ve ever created. It’s a grand expedition into the unknown, blending eco-horror, body horror, and my profound fear of being lost in the wilderness into a completely unique comics narrative. Hayden’s portrayal of alien landscapes truly has to be witnessed to be appreciated. If you’ve ever yearned to lose yourself in an entirely new world… this is the comic for you.”
Into the Unbeing: Part One #1 hits your local comic shop on June 12, 2024.
