Back in Action: Cameron Diaz Returns To Acting for Netflix Film
Netflix‘s upcoming original film Back in Action has movie star Cameron Diaz also stepping back into action as the actress returns to acting after stepping away eight years ago. Diaz will star alongside Jamie Foxx in the upcoming action-comedy film. Foxx made the announcement on his social media with an audio clip of his conversation with Diaz.
Foxx enlisted the help of Tom Brady to talk to Diaz about stepping out onto the spotlight after retirement. Diaz shares in the clip that she is both excited yet anxious to return to acting which led Brady to share a few pointers on how to step back into the spotlight.
Whether this plays into the plot in any way is anybody’s guess as the plot of the film is still under wraps but Brady is not officially part of the project. We do know that Seth Gordon will be helming the film from a script by Brendan O’Brien. Foxx will produce the film alongside O’Brien, Beau Bauman, Datari Turner, and Mark McNair.
Foxx shared the clip with the following caption:
“Cameron I hope you aren’t mad I recorded this, but no turning back now. Had to call in the GOAT to bring back another GOAT. @CameronDiaz and I are BACK IN ACTION – our new movie with@NetflixFilm. Production starting later this year!!”
